I was first introduced to the wonderful world of MIRANDY in 2008.
At first, I just shook my head and thought "Impossible!". But then I went back and watched the movie again...and again...and
again, and I realized that because of the marvelous talents of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and the unending analysis in
my fevered brain there really was subtext there. And where there's subtext, there's a fertile field for fan fiction.
I discovered the lively DWP community at LiveJournal and joined
in enthusiastically. However, LiveJournal by its very nature is a bit restrictive on lengthy posts and I've never met a story
I couldn't stretch to at least thirty pages so a web site is a better fit for writings that don't lend themselves to serialization.
So, without further ado, welcome to my site. I'll
post my Mirandy fics
here, be delighted to host anyone else who needs a place to post their work and throw in the occasional plug for my J7
website (70,000 Light Years From Home) as
well. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. As always, your constructive comments are welcome.
Disclaimer: These characters belong to Lauren
Weisberger and 20th Century Fox. No infringement is intended or profit made from this work. I'm just borrowing them
for a bit and I promise to put them back when I'm finished. Whether or not they'll ever be the same again is anybody's guess.
This site features fan
fiction of adult's in same-sex relationships. If you're under 18, if it's illegal where you come from or if the idea of two
grownup women in a committed, loving relationship bothers you (in an uncomfortable way) then now is the time to go elsewhere.
Well, it's official! I've actually managed to write and post two (count 'em...2) stories for punky's
Fic-A-Day FicAThon for July. I chose the 16th because two of the most important people in my life were born on that day and
I humbly offer two stories in their honor. You'll find both FIREBREATHER and
LIKE I DO on the Fan Fiction page. simply click on their titles to read them. I know that it's a pain in the neck to bounce back and forth between LiveJournal and my site, but please, PLEASE,
PLEASE remember to leave me your comments and constructive criticisms. Feedback is what fuels fan fiction and there is no
better way to insure that the supply of good reading continues than to support those of us who labor to produce it. I thank
you all for that support!
I will continue to post my stories here as well as on FanFiction.net in the hopes that you'll enjoy
my humble efforts. As always, your constructive comments and criticism are welcome; there's no other way I'll improve as a
writer.
